Inflammations

Ocular inflammation is a group of eye diseases that are most often associated with redness, sensitivity to light, increased tearing, discharge, sensitivity to pressure and pain. An ophthalmological examination is recommended in all cases. The most common ophthalmic inflammations:
Conjunctivitis: inflammation of the conjunctiva covering the surface of the eye, which can be caused by bacteria, viruses, or allergies.
Chalazion: bacterial inflammation of the glands of the eyelid, which is associated with eyelid swelling and pain.
Keratitis: most often caused by viruses, bacteria, or injury, it is usually associated with deterioration of vision and severe pain without treatment.
Eyelid inflammation: caused by inflammation of the sebaceous glands of the eyelid, often bacterial, usually part of a chronic condition.
